It's funny how how people tweet about their blog posts and blog about their twitter experiences, one feeds the other and vice versa..but then, again, what is the right ratio? Doe there need to be one?

Actually, I didn't have much of a blog before I had Twitter. I find a lot of inspiration in tweeting and reading tweets, which lead me to web sites, blogs, etc, either weakening or strengthening some of the ideas I have in mind

Then, at a certain moment -usually at night when the tweets slow down- the moment's there to write the blog that's already in my head. It usually doesn't take more than 15-30 minutes at that point

And then I of course tweet about my blog ;-)

@marc -- The interesting thing about that (and I've done it) is that we're then self-censoring some of our brilliance. :) I've also occasionally stopped before tweeting out a link, realizing that it really had the makings of a blog post.
Hi Marc,

For a while, Twitter definitely "stole the oomph," as you so eloquently stated. But it has also (since) helped me to rediscover my blogging voice. Like you, Twitter has been a great source for ideas. But the transition to tapping those ideas has been to create a draft post with a couple of notes and then to let the ideas percolate until they're fully formed.

Good food for thought. --Daria

I’m a newbie to blogging but I am finding that if a write series, a couple to several posts on one topic, the traffic to my blog is more consistent.

It was my positive experience on Twitter that pushed me forward to begin my blog. I use my blog to discuss “how to” topics in greater depth and use Twitter for quick tips and insights as well as building up my social network.

Best Regards,
Marti DenUyl
