Boomers have to start creating the social networks. I confess until recently I didn't relate to social networking; I'm 57, however, I've worked in IT and Web related fields for many years. My initial reaction to social networking was that it is geared to a younger generation; your point. Twitter says, "What are you doing?" That's not a question to ask a Boomer to get their attention. Once I understood the 'mini-blog' concept that is the basis of Twitter the ideas started flowing. It's only a matter of time before retired boomers with time on their hands and the feeling that they still have worthwhile ideas and energy and you will see an explosion of Boomer related networks. I'll let you know when my first project is done.
